BUCKHURST HILL

(1st layout: 1856 - 1892)
(2nd layout: 1892 - present)

The original layout had staggered platforms and a station building at the eastern end of Queen's Road. The replacement station building was opened off Victoria Road.

The original station building is on the right of the photo and the original northbound platform is visible adjacent to it.

Northward view of a southbound train reaching the old northbound platform. The former station building is to the left of the tracks. The Railway Tavern is still aptly named, in the sense that it is still next to the railway, although one now might expect it to be a little closer to the station's current location.
